​Future is Female and LWA Men Champions Awards Shortlisted Nominees and Honorary Awardees Announced

​Leading Women of Africa (LWA) is proud to unveil the shortlisted nominees for the 2024 Future is Female Awards and LWA Men Champions Awards.

​This year’s awards attracted over 100 nominations from 20 African countries, spanning across four main categories: Public Sector, Corporate Sector, Civil Society, and Entrepreneurship. The independent selection committee, comprised of highly respected female and male leaders from across the continent and the Diaspora, meticulously reviewed the entries. Following rigorous research and deliberation, the adjudicators shortlisted 30 nominees for the Future is Female Awards and 18 nominees for the LWA Men Champions Awards across the four categories. Additionally, 12 Honorary Awardees have been selected for special recognition.

​The winners will be revealed at the highly anticipated 2024 Africa Partnership for Growth (APG) Symposium & Awards Gala, set to take place on the evening of 23rd November 2024 in Cape Town. The gala will serve as the grand finale of the APG Symposium & Exhibition, which runs from 20th to 22nd November 2024.

​An esteemed and independent panel of adjudicators, consisting of highly respected male and female leaders from across Africa, will now begin the meticulous process of reviewing the entries. These distinguished judges bring a wealth of experience and expertise, ensuring that the best of the best will rise to the top.

​Registration

​Once you submit your registration, we will send you an e-mail confirmation, letter of invitation and invoice .

​Accommodation and Travel

​Unless clearly specified, accommodation and travel are not included in the registration fee.

​Cancellation/ Replacement

​In case a delegate would like to cancel their participation for some unexpected eventualities, the delegate may be replaced.

​The fees charged are strictly non-refundable. 

​In the event that LWA cancels the event, delegate payments at the date of cancellation will be refunded in full. In the event that LWA postpones a conference, delegate payments will be credited towards the rescheduled date. 

​ Standard fees

​All fees for the event include lunch, refreshments and documentation, and presentations. Please note that payment must be received before the event and within two weeks from the date of the invoice issue date. 

​ Event programme and location

​The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the programme without notice and to change the location or the date of the event or confirmed speakers. In case the event cannot be hosted in person due to a force majeure like pandemic and gathering restrictions associated with it, the event will be hosted in a virtual format.

​ Data Protection

​LWA agrees to keep attendee’s information confidential in its database and process it according to its Privacy Policy. The attendee gives LWA the authority to keep their information in its database and use the information in any way necessary in connection with the event. Attendee information will be removed from our database immediately after receiving a written request. 

​ Liability waiver and release

​Attendee agrees and acknowledges that he she is participating in or to the event at his/ her own free will and intentional act and at own risk. He/ She hereby waives, releases and discharges any and all claims for damage for personal injury, death or property damage which he/ she may have, or which may hereafter accrue to him/ her, as a result of his/ her participation in or to the event. This release is intended to discharge in advance LWA and its directors, employees and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with his her participation in or to the event.
