Chris Coetzee is CTO and developer at Tactivion, where he develops and maintains travel technology platforms for the adventure experience and cruise tour industries. He's been developing in Rails full-time since 2018. Outside of work, he enjoys contributing to open-source projects and expanding his knowledge of software design. In his free time, he likes spending time outdoors running, hiking, or camping.

Anyone is invited to give a quick 5 minute lightning talk - the (vague) theme for this month is "Ruby/Rails Gems". To follow on from Chris' talk, and to celebrate the new Solid core gems being included by default in Rails 8 - come share some cool Gems. Something that may have been a game changer in production, made development life easier, or is just cool.
