Analog Drawing

​A fun and playful group workshop led by Matt DesLauriers, "Analog Drawing" dives into the generative process and introduces computational thinking through a series of interactive exercises. This is a no-code and no-computer workshop—no technical or drawing skills are necessary to participate. Whether you're an artist looking to add new creative processes to your workflow, or just interested in learning more about generative art, you'll leave this workshop with new skills and some generative designs of your own.

Participants will be supplied with pens, paper, and mark-making tools, and will be guided on how to produce a high-quality drawing using the same ideas and processes that generative artists often employ in their workflows. The interactive sessions will be interspersed with discussions and reflections on art history, giving context to the work being created and providing a creative backdrop that could provide further inspirations outside the workshop.
