Regen LA: Rooting the Urban Regenerative Collective
Join us for an interactive evening dedicated to mapping the future of a regenerative, community-oriented, climate-resilient Los Angeles!
This event will feature Carrie Norton and other key members of the emerging bioregional organizing team for RegenLA. This team is co-visioning a groundbreaking 7-generation biocultural strategy to foster healing, restoration and resilience across Southern California's landscapes. The team will speak to early plans for fostering inclusive dreaming into a future that serves life, and invite your engagement in the process. The team will lead us through a process to begin to reimagine what it means to live and thrive in a regenerative, connected community.
We’re also convening other dynamic speakers and thought leaders across the regenerative landscape including Geoship, Teapot, Azizam and Astralab. We’ll dive deep into how we can each contribute to building a more resilient, equitable, and regenerative future for LA and beyond.

The RegenLA team will introduce a 3-pronged approach to bioregional regeneration, including an approach to strategy, ways to learn together, and innovative ways to finance the implementation of the strategy by building coalitions and identifying gaps where projects are un or underfunded. Azizam (‘darling’ in Farsi) Wines – founded in 2022 by Maryam Hariri, climate-change policymaker turned climate-adaptive winemaker – is a project of the soul. After honing her craft at the premier natural winery in Mexico, Maryam launched her own label to focus on climate-adaptive and uniquely Mexican grape varietals (e.g. Mission, Rosa Del Peru and Palomino) sourced from old vines, lost ranches and small-scale, sustainable farms. Azizam’s energy stems from its authenticity, in vision and practice. Maryam brings together her Persian heritage of winemaking with ancient production methods: hand destemming and fermentation in concrete tinajas and lagars, with only wild yeast and spontaneous fermentation.
