Workshop Audience:

Academics and researchers of all career stages.

Outline:

Do you feel that you would like to increase your wellbeing at work?  If you feel that you would like to work better, but you’re not quite sure where to start, this taster session is for you.  Highlighting some key themes from our workshop series ‘Flourish’, which explores working well in academia, this taster workshop is an opportunity to start to make positive steps towards thinking and working differently.

In this free session we consider what our work ‘load’ is, how we think about it, and where there might be opportunities to do things differently.  We will also look at what gets in the way of us saying ‘no’ and how we can say no and feel comfortable.  We conclude by considering what we need to flourish at work.

In this 1 hour session participants will:

•        Explore the factors that create work ‘load’

•        Develop strategies for saying ‘no’

•        Consider what they need to flourish

•        work collaboratively in a constructive and supportive environment.
