Join Yogita Lall in Johannesburg (Jozi) for International Generalist Day - a global celebration happening simultaneously across cities worldwide on September 3rd, 2025.
This year we have events across 30+ countries and 80+ locations!
Yogita is hosting Coffee Connections and Curious Career Conversations at Salvation Cafe in the unique mix that is 44 Stanley Place. It's the perfect setting to celebrate and create a local generalist community as part of the global generalist world movement - a first for Jozi!
What is a generalist? Professionals who apply their skills across multiple domains, connect disparate ideas, or serve as "translators" between different teams and disciplines. If you've ever felt your career doesn't fit in a single box, this celebration is for you.

Your host Yogita is best known for her curiosity about everything in life. That her name begins with "Y" is no coincidence. She has a wealth of experience across social entrepreneurship, innovation and people projects, and most recently AI Ethics. Her favourite part of being a generalist? "Always something new to learn, and some new way to apply existing skills and knowledge. Seeing disparate dots connect."
