About Event

This presentation will explore advanced geothermal technology and the prospects for having it power the NW.

Geothermal power production historically has been limited to certain geographies with ideal subsurface characteristics: heat, permeability, and fluids. Advances in Geothermal technologies are expanding the areas where tapping into this clean renewable energy source is feasible.

The keynote speaker is Trenton Cladouhos, PhD, VP of Geothermal Development at Quaise Energy. Trenton is a geologist with 25 years of experience in academic research, consulting, and technology development for the geothermal industry.

Over 10 years as Senior VP of Research & Development at AltaRock Energy, he worked on Enhanced Geothermal Systems projects in the USA and worldwide and co-led many DOE-supported projects and proposals including the Newberry EGS Demonstration, the Washington State Play Fairway Analysis (full report here), and the Newberry FORGE project.

Members of the Pacific Northwest Regional Interest Group of Geothermal Rising will participate in the networking and discussion. Come and learn about the advances in geothermal energy that are making it a possible source of clean base-load power, supplementing the region's declining hydro power resource.

3:30pm Doors Open for Networking, so arrive early!
