​Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) has become a standard for enabling LLM-based AI agents to interact with external tools and services, recently followed by Google's new Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol draft. With these protocols, agents can discover new tools or other agents autonomously. As their adoption grows and agents become more capable, we’re starting to see the outlines of a new agentic economy, where businesses sell to autonomous agents (B2A), and eventually, agents sell to other agents (A2A).
