bad art night: PLAY EDITION!
LET’S MAKE BAD ART!!! Join us for a night of playful, pressure-free art-making with silly prompts, accessible materials, and an open invitation to embrace imperfection and enjoy the creative act- no matter what your art looks like :)
During this special edition bad art night, we're taking play seriously: in addition to our classic silly prompts, we're also bringing air dry clay so you can create your very own tic tac toe board- inspired by whatever is bringing you joy in this moment!!!!
what's included:
⭐️ a welcoming, judgment-free environment to explore creativity
⭐️ all materials: prompts, paper, air dry clay, other art making supplies
⭐️ accessible warm-ups to spark inspiration
⭐️ a chance to share your best/worst pieces with community
⭐️ yummy snacks from Wonder!!!
bad art night is your chance to create for the pure joy of it. This workshop is designed for anyone looking to play, experiment, and create without the pressure of perfection: because self expression is your birth right, and you don’t have to be “good” at art to hone your creativity!!
we’ll begin with low stakes visual warm ups to attune to the creative frequency, and then everyone will have the chance to create art, with accessible prompts and project ideas and absolutely no pressure to making something good. At the end of the night, we will display our “bad” art proudly and celebrate the beauty in the “ugly” art!!!!
to make good art, you have to also make a bunch of shitty art. bad art night is all about practicing the act of making art without pressure or judgment. You’ll have the chance to make art like a kid again in the company of our community, where we all encourage each other to make stuff every day, even if it’s bad!!!
everyone is welcome here: no experience necessary. all supplies will be provided, but you can bring your own sketchbook/favorite tools if you have them!!
refund policy: art gurl events are nonrefundable — thank you for understanding and honoring the energy, care, and materials that go into creating these experiences.
if you can no longer attend, you're welcome to gift your ticket to a friend — just send us an email at heygurl@artgurl.org with their name and email!
by purchasing a ticket, you're supporting our mission to make art a tool for self-discovery, connection, and creative wellness. thank you for being here!!
We can’t wait to create with you!
