MUGIC User Meetup No.5
Join us for this month’s MUGIC® User Meetup, featuring two professors who are among the most experienced and dedicated MUGIC users!
1) Ben Whiting
Ben is a composer and faculty member at the College of William & Mary. He is one of the leading users of MUGIC, having acquired multiple MUGIC1 and MUGIC2 units for his students at three universities: the University of South Florida, the University of Chicago (MUGIC1), and William & Mary (MUGIC2). In this presentation, he will share insights from his teaching experiences with MUGIC and how he has inspired students across these institutions. I also hope he will present some of his own creative work using MUGIC!
2) Prof. John Crawford
John is a professor in the Department of Dance at UC Irvine and my longtime collaborator. In addition to his work in dance, he is a visual artist and software engineer, as well as an expert in TouchDesigner. Since 2018, John and I have toured both the U.S. and Europe, presenting our audio-visual collaborations using MUGIC. He brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective that bridges performance, technology, and design.
