Reading picnic at the Royal Botanical Gardens 🧺📚

​One More Chapter steps out of the bar and into the beautiful Botanical Gardens for the final reading event of the year. The sun is shining bright in Melbourne, so what better way to end 2024 than with a reading picnic in great company. 💛

​​What to expect

​The format is similar to all our events but we've thrown in a book swap to honour the season of gift giving.

• ​​Bring whatever book you're currently reading for dedicated reading time. All genres welcome 🤗

• ​​Bring a new or used book (in good condition) for the book swap to gift to a fellow reader. Make sure it's wrapped up. We're going for the surprise element. 🎁

• ​​Reflect on reads of the year and engage in fun literary conversations. 🤩

​​Agenda

​​2-2:30pm: Welcome and introductions 👋

​​2:30-3:15pm: Read to music + reflections on your reading year

​​3:15-4pm: Book swap and fun literary conversations

​Our reading events are always informal 🙂, so participate in any manner that you like.

​The Central Lawn at Royal Botanical Gardens, Melbourne.

​What to bring?

​A book to read and a book to swap. We'll have snacks and drinks but you're welcome to bring anything to share 🙂.
