Black August Dinner

​BUS and FOL on August 31st will come together to break fast at our People’s Feast. This is to close out our month long commemoration of Black August; for the political prisoners that have and still to this day fight for the liberation of the Black masses from our oppressors.

​

​Although the month is coming to an end we at Black Unity for Solidarity and For our Liberation, want to emphasize that this oppression is and will continue to go on as long as we as the Black masses are still scattered, that only through unifying as a nation can we continue the legacies and practices of those that came before us like W. L. Nolan, Khatari Gaulden, George Jackson, Jonathan P Jackson, James McClain in a fight for our liberation. It is important to remember that many of the political prisoners are still prisoners, still subjected to violent conditions like solitary confinement, still being exploited in the prison industrial complex to do labor for little to no compensation. It is only through our continued support and efforts that they will be the last political prisoners and we will obtain liberation.
