Last year, I hosted a poetry workshop on "Good Spell-Casting" and it was easily the most popular poetry offering I have shared to date.
As time has passed, it has become simultaneously more challenging and more urgent that we hone the skill of deliberately using our words to write the story of reality.
Our words - spoken, written, or even chanted by the mind - S~P~E~L~L out the life we are creating through our participation in its design.
Our words are magical spells. They are evidence of our creative power. The more we recognize and use them as such, the more we can begin to rewrite the stories that flow as the fabric of our co-created world.
And, POETRY is a PRAYER-SPELL.
Why 'prayer', you might ask?
Every poem is a gift of inspired creation; intentionally crafted to honor life, by making art of what has been, what is, and what we dream will be.
In this workshop, we will weave the earlier explorations of the magic of our words, and poetry as prayer, into the INTENTION of affirmative MANIFESTATION, by awakening our inner VISION, practicing using our capacity for IMAGINATION, and applying creative precision to a functional poem to be our creative anchor in the new season which will be upon us in June.
Summer is a time of radical presence, action, connection, and immersive experience. What has been seeding and nurtured in the Spring will come into full flower; blooming, expanding and rippling into the world. Now is the time to use the magic of the word to give creative direction to the experiences we will enjoy in the passionate time of aliveness that will come with the new season.
Together we will design and begin to craft a POEM FOR MANIFESTATION, to be spoken like prayer, and to cast a good spell with our oft-forgotten creative power.
ABRACADABRA, we will create as we speak.
Let's write a good-spell together, improve our relationship with words in all forms, and connect in community in devotion, as fellow magicians of the word.

Class Flow: The poetry class portion will run about 45-60 minutes, followed by timed writing together for 30 minutes, optional poetry-sharing to read your piece to the group (30 min est.), and closing guidance from Caitlyn for working your poem as a prayer or creative spell for the upcoming Summer season.
For those who cannot attend the call live, you will receive the workshop recording along with the prompts!
