About Event

MIT Media Lab alumnus David Tamés, who is a Teaching Professor of Media and Screen Studies at Northeastern University, will introduce us to arguments he has made in his recent book "Mediating Presence: Immersive Experience Design Workbook for UX Designers, Filmmakers, Artists, and Content Creators", specifically:

- What’s different about XR? (transformation from human-computer interaction to HUMAN+COMPUTER IMMERSION)

- Mediating presence as the holy grail of XR experiences

- A methodology for guiding envisioning, designing, and creation of an XR experience

We look forward to learning more about this interesting topic from David, followed by a Q&A and an opportunity for networking. Come join us for an informative discussion on an interesting emerging technology, extended / augmented reality, and how it intersects with engaging in all manner of immersive experiences.

This event is open to MIT alumni, their guests and friends, and anyone else interested in hearing about this interesting topic.
