🧡 AsianBossGirl is excited to partner with 🌈 Relating Between the Lines, a school for relational education that equips 1st and 2nd generation Asian Americans with essential people skills.
Have you ever felt truly seen, heard, and understood by someone? Like they just get you on a core level?
Now think about the opposite - when you've been misunderstood or felt invisible. This is the promise and peril of mindreading.
Our brains are wired to make assumptions about others' thoughts and feelings. When accurate, it allows for connection. When inaccurate, it leads to frustration and hurt.
As Asian Americans, many of us were raised to be indirect, polite, and undemanding. And rarely was self-reflection, self-advocacy, and interpersonal sensitivity modeled for us.
But lasting healthy relationships require open communication. They demand we understand ourselves deeply, then make that understanding known.
In this workshop, we'll create a mini "user manual" to share with people we care about in our lives - laying out how we operate, what we need, and how to best connect.
By courageously clarifying how we “work”, we allow those who matter most to truly see, hear, and understand us.
The goal? Spend less time decoding relationships through trial and error. And more time feeling intimately connected with our most cherished connections.

Relating Between the Lines is an Asian-founded online school for relational education that equips 1st and 2nd generation Asian Americans with essential people skills.
Through experiential learning, Relating Between the Lines supports the community to bring four key shifts into their lives that make the biggest difference in living a more quality life:
From avoiding conflict to embracing conflict
From stigmatizing emotion to befriending emotion
From downplaying differences to celebrating differences
From diagnosing people to humanizing people
