👕 Textiles UnTangled: Explore the Hidden Impact of What We Wear!
Dive into the fascinating world of fabrics: explore the materials we wear every day and those that surround us (textiles are everywhere: in your car, home, even your computer!) while learning about their entire life cycle. Uncover the social and environmental impacts of the textile industry, and discover sustainable alternatives that can reshape how we think about fashion and everyday materials.
In this 3-hour, hands-on workshop, you’ll engage in fun, collaborative mini-games that reveal the hidden complexities behind textiles. Together, we’ll share knowledge, explore themes interactively, and discover ways to make meaningful changes towards a more sustainable future.

👉 How the Games Work
Please Note: This is a 3-hour group activity that relies on full participation to create a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone.
The workshop revolves around a collaborative card-based game. Guided by a trained facilitator, your team will work together to map out the connections between key sustainability elements. By drawing on your group’s collective intelligence, you'll gradually uncover the complexity and interdependence of the topics discussed.
No prior knowledge is needed—our facilitators will guide you through each step. Together, you'll engage in a dynamic mix of learning, creativity, and fun!

🚘 Getting There
Highland Park Metro & Parking available nearby! There is a large parking lot directly next to the building with all day parking meters for $2.50. There is also another parking lot on Ave 57 just one block away, it's very easy to navigate when you are in the neighborhood.
⚠️ Accessibility: Please be aware that the workshop will be held on the second floor, which is accessible only by stairs and does not have elevator access. Regrettably, this may pose challenges for individuals with reduced mobility.

These risks include, but are not limited to, accidents, injuries, property damage, or illness. You accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers, and hazards associated with the event.
Release of Liability: You hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Organizer, Assistant Organizers, and Event Hosts for any liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by you or any of your guests, whether caused by the negligence of the Organizer, Assistant Organizers, Event Hosts, or otherwise.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer, Assistant Organizers, and Event Hosts from and against any loss, liability, damage, or cost, including attorney's fees, arising out of or related to your participation in the event or any act or omission by you or your guests.
Compliance with Rules and Regulations: You agree to comply with all rules, regulations, and instructions provided by the Organizer, Assistant Organizers, and Event Hosts during the event. Failure to comply may result in your removal from the event without refund.
Photography and Videography: You consent to the use of photographs, videos, or other media taken during the event for promotional purposes by the Organizer, Assistant Organizers, and Event Hosts.
Ticket Purchase: Your purchase of a ticket to the event confirms your understanding and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Refund Policy: If your plans change and you need to cancel your registration, you can email amandine.richard@outlook.com to request a refund. Refund requests will be honored up to 48 hours prior to the start of the event (e.g., Saturday, October 19th at 6 PM). Please note that credit card transaction fees and event hosting fees are non-refundable.
