About Event

Getting your story across to the right audience with the right tools and narratives opens a huge battlefield in which Chiefs of Staff can easily get lost — be it developing an investor pitch on glossy slides showcasing “the next big thing”, building the management and investor reporting kit for Q3 with facts and figures, or preparing an all-hands meeting with high-level strategy information about the future of the company. All those presentations only have one thing in common: they are presentations about the company.

Diving one level deeper, however, they differ significantly from one another: they all serve different audiences, show different storytelling styles, and provide different narratives – even though the underlying story about that company may be the same and all of them may (or may not) be delivered via PPTX slides: simply mastering PowerPoint wouldn’t get the Chief of Staff far.

On November 28th, we're excited to host Karsten Stampa, a current Chief of Staff in transition from Europe to the United States and previous Strategy, Finance, and Operations Executive Consultant for 20 years, as he shares his insights and experiences on storytelling beyond the tool whilst including the perspectives of narratives and audiences.

You should attend this workshop if:
- You want to learn how to address different audiences differently and appropriately beyond “just” mastering PowerPoint skills;
- You want to experience telling different layers of one story to different people;
- You want to diversify your story-telling skills with a variety of tools, presentation formats, and styles;
- You want to unlock building your own credibility through storytelling;
- You're eager to advance your skills as Chief of Staff in generating and mastering the narrative for your senior leadership.

Please note, there will be a 100-person limit on this event. If you are unable to attend live, we will send a recording of the event afterwards.

More about the Speaker:
Karsten began his career as a financial institutions’ consultant, mainly focusing on different aspects of regulation and governance and needed to learn to get complex messages across in board rooms to senior executives and board members since the age of 22.

Since then, he successfully built stories to restructure and merge banks as a Consultant; sold a story to investors to raise $4.5M investments as CFO/COO of a digital health start-up; negotiated restructuring plans as Advisor with unions and board members; or conducted internal and external narratives as Chief of Staff for a NASDAQ listed corporation, serving senior executives through a pandemic and turnarounds. Between 2008 and 2020, he also lectured at the Berlin School of Economics and Law where he taught Strategic Management & Leadership.

Until today, Karsten’s main interests are the development of trust-based storytelling through visualization and the clarification of strategies. His industry experience ranges from financial institutions via automotive, life sciences as well as hard tech and software.
