​Blade Study and HEART 442 Broadway are excited to present the second in the MORNINGSTAR Performance Series bringing performers and artists working with sound and culture as a form together.

​EMMETT PALAIMA 

​

​Emmett Palaima works with electronics and esoteric processes of sound creation. His practice is rooted in the idea that technology and magic are one and the same, and that electricity is a manifestation of divine or elemental forces underlying reality.

​ZARINA NARES

​

​Zarina Nares’ practice explores femininity in virtual spaces, focusing on desire, authenticity, self-worth, and self-performance. She examines how these themes are digitally shaped and how they relate to broader societal structures, past and present.

​BEN SHIRKEN 

​

​Ben Shirken (Ex Wiish), is an artist, musician, recording/mixing engineer and curator living in Brooklyn, NYC. Founder of record label & performance series 29 Speedway which features forward-thinking improvisational music and live multimedia.

​DASYCHIRA

​

​Dasychira (pronounced ˈdah.see.kira) is a South African-born artist by way of New York City. They actively engage with the cobweb of magical realism around them, creating music and art that tiptoes between dimensions of fantasy.
