Every week, we invite a batch of early-stage startup founders to sharpen their pitch – in front of a live audience and later released on YouTube. After they deliver their 1 minute pitch, they'll receive 5 minutes of direct, actionable feedback on their pitch and concept from our check-writing investor judges.

Aubrie Pagano is a General Partner at Alpaca VC, a seed-stage venture capital firm investing in companies reshaping the world. Aubrie knows firsthand the highs and lows of entrepreneurship, having been the Co-founder and CEO of Bow & Drape, a customizable apparel brand she scaled and eventually sold to Winn Brands after seven years of growth and grit. Her journey as a founder deeply informs her approach as an investor—she’s walked in those shoes and understands what it takes to build and scale a company.
Before Alpaca, Aubrie honed her expertise at XFactor Ventures, backing companies led by female founders, and spent nearly a decade in strategy and consulting roles at Fidelity Investments.
The session is unscripted and unfolds in real time – the judges don’t know the founders’ ideas upon their arrival. There are no slides, there is no script, and there is no live funding happening – it’s all about the natural pitch. Because the thing that holds most founders back? Storytelling. It always comes back to storytelling.
