About Event

As the year draws to a close, there's no better time to pause and sharpen your L&D practice for the future. Experience alone doesn’t lead to growth—it’s the power of reflection that truly unlocks learning.

Join our guest speaker, Kylie Sturday, as we dive deep into how reflective practice can elevate your learning interventions, spark creativity, and drive continuous improvement. Get ready to explore strategies, examples from other industries, and actionable steps to wrap up the year strong and set yourself up for a reflective and impactful 2025!

In this session, Kylie will explore:

💡 How experience on its own isn’t enough to learn

💡 What reflective practice means in an L&D context

💡 Ways to use reflection in learning interventions

💡 Examples from other industries of effective reflection

💡 Ways to end the year and begin the next using questions that prompt insights

Key Takeaways:

✔️ Reflection at different stages: how to use past, present, and future reflection into your L&D work.

✔️ Cross-industry insights: Discover how reflection drives creativity and improvement.

✔️ Continuous improvement: Plan to reflect, and reflect to improve your plans.

We look forward to seeing you there! - Shayaan and Eikris (your hosts and Sydney/APAC Region Hub Leads)

About our facilitator:

Kylie has 8 years+ of experience in the Learning and Development space with a focus on delivering impact in public service organisations. Making the shift from customer service/operational roles to capability development is an experience she looks back on fondly and credits with her ability to relate to the challenges managers and staff face performing their roles.

She believes that you learn something new from everyone you meet, and uses opportunities facilitating training and interacting with the L&D Shakers and Crackin LnD (Down Under) communities to do just that!

Kylie works as an in-house learning professional, specialising in creating capability solutions, emergency management exercises and training. You can learn more about her here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kylie-sturday/
