You Can Educate Your Children, Even if You're Not a Teacher with Juliet English

​Many parents think that they can’t homeschool their children simply because they’re not an ‘educator’.

​But this couldn’t be further from the truth! You definitely don’t have to be a qualified teacher in order to educate your children. 

​While making the change from conventional school to home education can be a daunting process, it’s not as scary as it may seem.  

​Juliet English is a former social worker and home educator with over 20 years of experience. As a mother of 7 children, all of whom she home educated, Juliet has a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to alternative education. She is passionate about home education as well as supporting and encouraging other parents who wish to choose this route for their children. 

​Juliet has  successfully run home education groups in 3 cities, co-ordinates the Learn Free Home Educators Conference annually in the UK, speaks and writes about all things to do with home education. She is also very involved in initiatives to promote home education as a legal right and valid option in the UK. 

​Juliet will be joined by Kelly Davis, Galileo’s own Chief Education Officer, who has years of experience in the education space and has worked with countless students, parents, teachers and facilitators.

​In our upcoming InspirEd by Galileo event, Juliet and Kelly will share why home education isn’t as scary as you think and open up an interactive discussion for all questions and concerns around home-schooling and self-directed education. They will also share some real life experiences (both good and bad!) from families that have been on the home education journey.
