Beginners Wheel Throwing - Saturday Morning's

​Ready to learn to throw on the wheel and want to do it right? This is a fun and engaging experience where you'll learn all the steps to turn a piece of clay into a piece of finished pottery you love. 

​​What you'll learn

​​In this class, you will learn the core fundamentals of throwing on the wheel, from clay preparation to centering on the wheel to creating your first ceramic piece. We'll also go through the parts of a working pottery studio to help you find your way around in the future. 

​​After throwing, you will be guided through precision trimming techniques to give your piece a refined shape. We will learn how to make your first mugs and create a bowl fit for a yummy meal.

​​We'll also glaze the pieces we made throughout the course and learn how to make our ceramics food safe. Finally, a group show-and-tell will give us an incredible opportunity for further learning and insight.

​​For Beginners wheel 1 term classes, clay, tools, glazes and firings are Included in the cost for students.
