Diabetes Mellitus especially Type 2 DM (T2DM), is becoming a major problem that encountered in daily internal medicine practice, both in inpatient and outpatient settings which gives a big burden in many aspect not only for patients but also doctors, who manage and regulates this disease. Insulin therapy itself plays a major role in the therapy of T2DM not only in the management of diabetes but also in preventing various acute and chronic complications.
Thus, adequate knowledge and skills are needed to educate and regulate the management of T2DM especially the use of insulin. Comprehensive management approach is also needed to have better outcome in T2DM management which are tailored specifically to each individual.
