Hamet Watt is a venture builder, board partner, and longtime creative force in early-stage innovation. He is the founder and CEO of Share Ventures, a Los Angeles–based venture studio focused on building companies that elevate human potential — across categories like AI, neuroscience, health, and the future of work.
Previously, Hamet co-founded MoviePass, launched wellness startup bLife, and led media-tech platform NextMedium to acquisition. He has served as a venture partner at Upfront Ventures, and was formerly a General Partner at the New Africa Opportunity Fund, a U.S.-backed vehicle investing in post-apartheid South African growth.
Across his career, Hamet has invested in and advised more than 100 startups. He is recognized for bridging technology with purpose, blending venture-scale thinking with systems that serve human well-being.
He holds over a dozen patents and was named one of Business Insider’s 46 Most Important African-Americans in Tech.

His mobility company, RideAmigos - the first ride-share platform of its kind - has taken millions of cars off the road for thousands of companies across the US and Canada.
With over 15 million downloads and $9.5 million in venture funding, Vyng, his video caller ID app, boasts 4 billion videos played across 170 countries. Jeffrey has been featured by more than 30 media outlets, including TechCrunch, Forbes, NBC, ABC, and the LA Times. He is a guest lecturer in entrepreneurship at Pepperdine University’s MBA Program. In his spare time, Jeffrey DJs across the world with neon drumsticks.
