About: Jessica Jackley
Jessica Jackley is a visionary entrepreneur, investor, and thought leader dedicated to driving impact through innovation. As the co-founder of Kiva, the world’s first peer-to-peer microlending platform, she has pioneered new models for financial inclusion, earning recognition as a nonprofit unicorn founder. A Y Combinator-backed serial entrepreneur, Jessica has built and invested in dozens of mission-driven startups, with a recent focus on AI for impact through her work as the Founding General Partner of Untapped Capital.
An award-winning speaker on leadership, impact, and innovation, she is also a professor at USC Marshall School of Business, where she shares her expertise with the next generation of changemakers. With on-the-ground experience in 80 countries, she is an international fintech expert and former Chief Impact Officer at Aspiration Bank.
Jessica is a seasoned board member, guiding organizations through structural transformations, including nonprofit-to-for-profit transitions and hybrid models. As an author, her book Clay Water Brick (Random House) has inspired entrepreneurs worldwide, with a new book forthcoming.
A champion of service and the volunteer sector, Jessica believes in the essential role of community-driven change in shaping a better future.

Jeffrey Chernick is a serial entrepreneur, startup mentor, and angel investor/advisor. Currently based in Venice, California, Jeffrey is running his companies and giving back to his communities. A former Wall Street wealth manager, Jeffrey realized early on that creating something from nothing is where it’s at. His mobility company RideAmigos - the first ride-share platform of its kind - has taken millions of cars off the road for thousands of companies across the US and Canada. With over 15 million downloads and $9.5 million in venture funding, Vyng, his video caller ID app, boasts 4 billion videos played across 170 countries. Jeffrey has been featured by more than 30 media outlets including Techcrunch, Forbes, NBC, ABC, and the LA Times. He is a guest lecturer in entrepreneurship at Pepperdine University’s MBA Program. In his spare time, Jeffrey DJs across the world with neon drumsticks.
