About Event

Join us as we welcome Emma Kaywin (they/them) and Ania Upstill (they/them) for Using Clowning as a Tool for Upstanding Against Sexual Harassment on Wednesday, October 5th at 7 pm EST over Zoom!

**Please note this workshop won't be recorded**

In this interactive and fun (it’s clowning after all!) training, you’ll learn some easy clowning tools you can use to interrupt and upstand against sexual harassment or harm you see in the world. Because anyone can be a clown, and anyone can stand up against sexual harassment! Join Emma (trauma-informed sex educator) and Ania (professional clown) as we explore some best practices in being a great upstander and how clowning can be a great upstanding tool. This is an extremely interactive workshop, so jump on and get ready to be silly for a cause!

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

  • learn best practices in upstanding generally;

  • be given some clowning-based skills that can support these best practices (and given a fun opportunity to practice);

  • have more tools in your toolbox that you can use if you want to check up on someone who you think is being harassed.

This workshop is expected to run between 60 and 90 minutes.

Closed captions will be provided through Zoom.
