About Event

Join us as we welcome Scotney Young (she/her) for Sexy Parts and How to Share Them on Wednesday, May 31st at 7pm EST over Zoom!

This workshop will be recorded and will be made available to everyone who registers for 7 days following the workshop.

About the workshop: Can pee come out of a penis the same time as semen? Is anal douching necessary? What can sex be like for intersex bodies? What the heck is vaginal discharge?

Due to social inequities, ideologies, and other reasons, many of us missed out on the fundamentals of sexual/reproductive anatomy. All the mystery and shame layered onto our body parts and functions also make it difficult to recognize, verbalize, and explore our intimate boundaries with ourselves and others.

In the first part of this 2 hour workshop we'll visit (or re-visit!) the basics of sexual/reproductive anatomy, including: basic care and hygiene, different ways to experience pleasure, and debunking harmful/confusing myths. The second part will give you tools to consider and verbalize how you want to share(or not!) those parts and the rest of your body with others in a way that feels safe, comfortable, and empowering to you.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • Understand the basics of sexual and reproductive anatomy and their related functions.

  • Know how to practice good hygiene related to sexual and reproductive anatomy.

  • Understand different ways to experience pleasure and how to communicate about boundaries and consent.

This workshop is expected to run between 90 and 120 minutes.

Closed captions will be provided through Zoom.
