About Event

Join us as we welcome Grace Webb (they/them) and Jai-La Aponte (She/Her, They/Them) for Poly, Hot, and Have to Explain My Situation a Lot: Non-Monogamy Skills for All Relationships on Tuesday, October 12th at 8:30 PM EST over Zoom!

Please note: This workshop will not be recorded.

Regardless of what kind of relationship might be most fulfilling for us, our culture pushes us into one-size-fits-all monogamous relationships. Many of our assumptions and narratives about how relationships “should” be are based around monogamy. In this workshop, we will start to question some of these assumptions, and spend time exploring what is important to us in a relationship, our values and beliefs, and how to communicate these expectations to others in order to consciously create fulfilling relationships. While this workshop centers a non-monogamous perspective, anyone with a desire to develop and build upon their relationship skills is welcome. We will discuss how these techniques can be applied to all relationships- monogamous, non-monogamous, friendships, family relationships, and more!

Participants will start to question and unlearn their assumptions about relationships, and will spend time reflecting on their own values and beliefs in order to consciously create more aligned relationships. Participants will be able to identify communication skills that can be used to build these relationships.
