About Event

Join us as we welcome Ren Grabert (They/Them) for Navigating the U.S. Abortion Landscape to Support Students and Clients on Tuesday, October 26th at 7:00 PM EST over Zoom!

This workshop will be recorded and will be made available for a limited time to everyone who registers.

The U.S. abortion landscape is ever changing and increasingly restrictive, yet 1 in 4 people who can get pregnant will have an abortion sometime in their lifetime. This means sexuality professionals have had and will continue to work with clients who will need to access abortion services. In this workshop Sex Educator, Ren Grabert M.Ed, will cover types of abortion and their clinical procedures, statistics of abortion in the United States, current abortion laws across the country, and how to identify and refer clients to high quality abortion providers and services.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
-Explain the difference between procedural and medication abortion and the processes for each type of abortion
-Define reproductive health, reproductive rights, and reproductive justice
-Describe the common types of abortion restrictions in place across the U.S.
-Identify criteria they will use to create a referral resource for patients seeking abortion care
