About Event

Join us for an inspiring evening at the heart of San Francisco to kick off San Fransisco Climate Week 2024, California's largest summit dedicated to advancing solutions and discussions around climate change. Hosted at 9Zero, the SF Climate Week Opening Ceremony promises to be an event filled with insightful dialogue, impactful networking, and celebration of our collective efforts towards a more sustainable future.

The event will include opening remarks from the following distinguished speakers:

  • SF Climate Week leadership team:

    • Evan Hynes, CEO of Climatebase & SFCW

    • Morgan Campbell, Director of SFCW & Partnerships at Climatebase.

  • Hunter Pence, former MLB all-star & Giants player, and founder of The Healthy Planet Project

  • Dr. Vanessa Chan, DOE Chief Commercialization Officer and Director of the Office of Technology Transitions (OTT).

  • Alison Hagan, Managing Principal @ Deloitte San Francisco.

  • Suzanne DiBianca, EVP & Chief Impact Officer @ Salesforce.

  • Ravi Mikkelsen, CEO @ Atmos Financial.

  • Mayor of San Francisco London Breed (schedule pending).

The Opening Ceremony will take place at 9Zero, a new climate innovation center in San Francisco, marking the beginning of an engaging week that brings together climate leaders, founders, investors, policy representatives, and the public. This diverse gathering of minds and voices is a testament to the inclusive approach we believe is essential in addressing the climate crisis.

After the opening remarks, attendees will have the chance to mingle and discuss over drinks and hors d'oeuvres to foster connections and spark conversations that could lead to the next big idea or collaboration in climate action. Our wine will be provided by J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines, who will be pouring from their sustainable wine collection. Innovators – selected to participate in the Yes SF, Urban Sustainability Challenge for their breakthrough ideas to bring new life to buildings, infrastructure, and outdoor areas in downtown San Francisco – will be onsite at the Yes SF Innovation Hub during the Opening Ceremony. Guests will have the opportunity to meet with the founders and learn about their climate solutions.

Don't miss this chance to be part of a community that's driving change and shaping a sustainable future for our city and beyond.

We look forward to welcoming you to an evening of inspiration, dialogue, and community. Together, let's celebrate the start of SF Climate Week 2024 and renew our commitment to making a difference in the world during this pivotal moment in human history.
