About Event

Design has a profound impact on humanity - it frames and influences behaviours, relationships, spaces, cultural and social norms. It has dramatically improved lives - improving productivity, increasing access to knowledge, reducing injuries .. the list goes on. But it has a darker side. Design can be manipulative, dangerous, and downright destructive.

Each day, designers and the design industry at large tread a delicate line, balancing the value tensions between fulfilling the needs of the business and that of the users who will ultimately use the product. But there is a need to look beyond the direct stakeholders, to consider the ethical implications of the product, service, environment, or organisation we create in context of the broader ecosystem we operate in.

Join PSYKHE at a discourse on the importance of Ethical Design and the key principles that could guide intentional, responsible design that prioritises the well-being of people, the planet, and the society in which it operates.
