RUNWAY: Week 1 "The Model"

​Concentrate on being able to adequately describe the product or service. Emphasis on identifying the problem that is being solved! Does the idea make sense? How can the crucial aspects of the idea be boiled down and made simpler? Does a lay person understand? What does your overall business model look like?

​RUNWAY is a pre-incubation program at the Santa Fe Business Incubator designed to assist early-stage startups or idea-stage individuals/teams in assessing the market potential of their business idea and equipping them with the necessary information to make an informed go or no-go decision by framing the concept in the context of sales.

​Pre-incubation programs are specifically for individuals or teams who have been working on a business idea for a short time and who are ready to form the idea into a working business concept and test the idea by speaking with potential customers and networking with business leaders in the community.

​The RUNWAY program is five sessions, with meetings over Zoom, during which topics are reviewed and discussed. The program also consists of weekly individual check-ins with Incubator staff and periodic meetings with advisers and other subject matter experts. The program also requires you to spend time defining your business model and speaking with potential customers to hopefully lead to your first sale.
