The Nature Day Dinner | Driving Action Ahead of COP30 and Beyond
The Nature Day Dinner is a flagship evening during London Climate Action Week 2025. This invite-only dinner will gather leaders from the worlds of business, philanthropy and policy to discuss the critical role of nature in corporate and government policy decision making to drive action ahead of COP30 and beyond.
We are off track on delivering against a range of climate and nature commitments (including the Paris Agreement, the Global Biodiversity Framework and the Sustainable Development Goals). The science is pointing to growing risks of tipping points being reached, with far-reaching consequences to business resilience and social upheaval if we stay on our current trajectory. In just six months, the ‘Amazon’ COP will be a critical moment for nature.
To explore how we turbocharge action, guests will hear short contributions from Marcelo Behar, COP30 Special Envoy on Bioeconomy; Ruth Davis OBE, UK Special Representative for Nature; Sir Dave Lewis, Chair, WWF-UK; Leah Ramoutar, Director of Environmental Sustainability, Aviva; Jack Hurd, Head of Nature, World Economic Forum; Hindou Ibrahim, President, Association for Indigenous Women and Peoples of Chad and Tony Goldner, CEO, Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosures. With closing remarks from Tanya Steele, CEO, WWF-UK.
The evening will be hosted by Matthew Phillips and Irene Suarez Perez from Global Optimism.
We look forward to an insightful evening of discussion on what is already happening and what’s needed to elevate nature in our decisions and business models in the run up to and beyond the critical COP 30 climate summit in Brazil.
Hosted by WWF, in collaboration with Aviva and Global Optimism.
