'Moving From I To We' is a curated community gathering and mindful marketplace for all things meditation in Los Angeles with LA's top meditation leaders and brands at the forefront of the mindful lifestyle movement.
Hosted by Amanda Gilbert Meditation, a leading voice in the mindful lifestyle movement in collaboration with The KINN, this day will include:
Panel discussions with Sah D'Simone, Hakim Tafari, Mel Nahas and modern meditation leaders and brands spearheading the mindfulness movement locally in LA in areas of health, wellness, social equity, mindful living, mindful eating and community care.

Sah D'Simone is a spiritual revolutionary, artist, and the internationally bestselling author of Spiritually Sassy. He's known for hosting the top-rated Spiritually Sassy Show podcast and for creating the Somatic Activated Healing (SAH) Method™. Sah works in the Spiritual Care Department at Cedars-Sinai Hospital and is a guest lecturer at Columbia University. His remarkable contributions to homeless youth in Venice Beach, California earned him the CARE award from the city and county of Los Angeles.
Amanda Gilbert is a meditation teacher, speaker, recent lecturer of mindfulness at the University of Southern California, and the author of Kindness Now: A 28-Day Guide to Living with Authenticity, Intention and Compassion. Her meditation training has been with UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center, in Primordial Sound Meditation with Deepak Chopra and within the Insight Meditation tradition at InsightLA. Amanda’s teachings span from coast to coast in the US as well as online. She has led meditation for top companies and startups like NBC, Paramount Pictures, The W Hotels, Merrill Lynch, Macy’s and YouTube.
Hakim Tafari is a Buddhist Dharma practitioner and meditation facilitator blending his meditative practice with street and trail running. Hakim’s mission in the last few years has really been focused as using these practices to bridge an intersection between mindfulness sports and social justice. Trained by UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center, he shares how the practice of running and mindfulness blends and offers a place of refuge for those seeking more peace and balance in their lives. Also in the last few years, Hakim has added Running and especially Trail running, cycling, and also finding great passion in the space of Jiu Jitsu.
