SOLVM_I: Light, Code, and the Space Between
Where language flickers, and form begins to take shape.
Curated by Grida & Mother Leopard, Presented by ArtVerse Gallery
SOLVM_I is the first solo exhibition in Paris by Italian-Croatian artist and technologist MCSK. Rooted in European religious iconography, memories of war, and algorithmic structures, the exhibition explores how dissonant systems—past and present, human and machine, language and image—can meet, shift, and generate new meaning. The show unfolds across three series: 〈SOLVM_I The Gallery〉, which juxtaposes Renaissance gold leaf with digital pixels and glitch to question the materiality of light and sacred imagery; 〈REPLICATIO〉, a daily drawing series generated by AI and mechanical plotters, visualizing a collaboration between algorithmic precision and human rhythm; and 〈CODE〉, which transforms a childhood wartime cipher into visual poetry, exploring the space between language and sensation. Rather than offering resolution, MCSK lingers in the moment before meaning—where light flickers, the hand hesitates, and language has not yet arrived. SOLVM_I gently asks its viewers: What is still becoming? What remains unsaid? And how do we find ourselves in that space between systems? We invite you to enter this quiet encounter, and to spend time with images that are still unfolding.
