About Event

The many ladders to get to the top of any type of motorsport can be confusing and this week we're focusing on NASCAR.

Perhaps you're currently racing quarter midgets, midgets, sprint cars, late models or legends. Maybe you're a kart racer who dreams of going stock car racing, rather than sports car or open-wheel racing? Wherever you are, if you want to learn more about the many ladders to NASCAR, this webinar is for you.

Your hosts, Julia Landauer and Amber Balcaen, are both traveling these pathways personally and will be your guides for learning how to navigate your next steps on this journey.

Julia Landauer: Julia Landauer is a two-time champion NASCAR driver from New York City. In 2020, she raced in the European NASCAR Series, where she finished 5th overall, the highest ever for an American. Away from the track, Julia graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was on CBS’ SURVIVOR and is a Forbes “30 Under 30” honoree. Julia is also a motivational speaker and corporate advisor, and advocates for STEM education and womens’ empowerment.

Amber Balcaen: Amber Balcaen is a Canadian Race Car Driver competing in the Bill McNally Racing Academy and the ARCA Menards Series West driving the ICON Direct Toyota. She is the first Canadian female to win a NASCAR-sanctioned race. Amber comes from a racing family and learned her craft driving sprint cars on the dirt tracks of the U.S. and Canada. Her sponsors are ICON Direct, 1stPhorm, and her long-time supporter Glen McLeod & Sons, Ltd.
