Join us to explore the Buddha’s teachings on Kalyanamitta on this weekend non-residential hybrid Insight Dialogue retreat, followed by two days of Insight Dialogue guided daily life practice.

The Buddha defined the Kalyanamitta relationship as the whole of this holy life. Insight Dialogue brings together meditative awareness and the wisdom teachings of the Buddha to create this deeply interpersonal relationship that allows us to harness the power of the dhamma to reveal the constructing nature of the mind and gain insight into how to meet the challenges of daily life.

The retreat will begin on Friday evening with an introduction to the weekend and the Insight Dialogue guidelines. On Saturday and Sunday there will be a mix of silent and relational practice, as we explore each guideline using contemplations on the Kalyanamitta teachings.

On Monday and Tuesday, for those participants who can attend, we will explore ways to bring the practice into daily life by gathering in the early morning for practice before work and gathering at the close of the day for an evening of sharing and practice. The teachers will be available during the day to offer practice and support.

Meals will not be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch to maintain the flow of practice; alternatively, there are many restaurants in the neighborhood.

The SF Dharma Collective offers in person and online practice in a hybrid mode that allows people to participate in events from their homes or in the dharma hall. Please indicate your preference on registration. Seating in the dharma hall is limited, when capacity is reached, registrants will be offered online spaces.
