AMA with Jasmin Hurley

​Jasmin Hurley is an attorney in the New Ventures practice group at Thompson Hine LLP. Her multi-faceted practice includes advising startup and small businesses to large private companies regarding entity structure, formation, governance and financing, including business and commercial document preparation. Her practice also focuses on intellectual property and corporate and business matters. She represents clients across many industries, including food and beverage, health care, media and technology, retail and nonprofit matters.

​Her career also encompasses extensive experience in advising clients on intellectual property development and security, including copyright and trademark registration, trademark prosecution, licensing, purchasing, transfers and commercialization. Drawing upon her previous experience acquired from both her military and legal career, Jasmin also advises women-, minority- and veteran-owned businesses in business certification matters at the local, state and national levels, and she provides support during the application process.

​Prior to entering law school, Jasmin worked in health and safety and business development for an industrial cleaning company based in Columbus, Ohio. Her accomplished career also includes service in the United States Army. While on Active Duty, Jasmin held various military leadership roles as an officer in the Military Police Corps, including platoon leader, executive officer and battalion-level staff officer. She is a combat Veteran and a recipient of the Bronze Star.

​Jasmin serves in a volunteer capacity for several organizations. She enjoys spending her free time exploring new places with her family.
