Exploring the Future of Society in the Age of Artificial Superintelligence
Japan Blockchain Week Summit 2025 AI Edition is a global forum for examining the profound transformations that rapidly advancing AI technologies are bringing to society, the economy, and industry. This year’s edition gathers leading AI researchers, business executives, tech innovators, and blockchain pioneers from Japan and around the world. With the emergence of Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) on the horizon, the summit aims to deepen essential discussions on the role of AI in shaping our collective future.
Web3 has long stood as a counterpoint to centralized systems, driven by a community of thinkers and technologists advocating for decentralization, individual freedom, and empowerment. Today, that same spirit of inquiry is focused on the new frontiers unlocked by generative AI (GenAI), and the paradigm shifts it heralds.
While GenAI offers unprecedented opportunities, it also raises pressing challenges—ranging from centralization of power and opaque algorithms to bias in training data and unresolved questions of content ownership. In response, the Web3 ecosystem brings valuable perspectives and tools: decentralized governance models, self-sovereign identity frameworks, and privacy-preserving technologies such as zero-knowledge proofs. These elements provide a blueprint for building equitable, transparent systems of value creation and distribution in the AI era.
This summit will explore how the principles and technologies of Web3 can serve as critical infrastructure for an AI-driven society—ensuring fair allocation of AI-generated value, safeguarding digital privacy, and protecting individual dignity in an increasingly algorithmic world.
Launched originally as Japan’s first NFT-focused conference—Tokyo Blockchain Game Conference—in 2018, this summit now celebrates its eighth edition. Over the years, it has evolved into a global hub where thought leaders across AI and Web3 converge to design the future of society itself.

Japan Blockchain Week Summit 2025 AI editionは、急速に進化するAI技術が社会・経済・産業にもたらす根源的変革を探る国際的な議論の場です。AI研究者、企業経営者、テクノロジーリーダー、国内外ブロックチェーン業界の第一人者が集い、AIが人間の知能を超えうるASI（人工超知能）の可能性が現実味を帯びる今、この変革期に向けた本質的な議論の深化を目指します。AIによる人類の生き方や社会構造の根本変化に対し、参加者が深く洞察を得るきっかけとなることを目標としています。
Web3は、中央集権型プラットフォームへのアンチテーゼとして生まれた非中央集権思想と、個人の自由とエンパワーメントを追求する“思想家×テクノロジスト”のコミュニティであり、常に社会変革に敏感でした。その探究心は今、生成AI（GenAI）技術が拓く新たなフロンティアと、それがもたらすパラダイムシフトへと注がれています。
GenAIは社会に多大な恩恵をもたらす一方で、開発・運用の一極集中、学習データのバイアス、アルゴリズムの不透明性、AIによる生成物の権利帰属といった看過できない課題も顕在化させています。このような状況において、Web3が長年培ってきた分散型ガバナンスの知見、自己主権型アイデンティティの概念、そしてゼロ知識証明のようなプライバシー保護技術は、AI時代における新たな信頼の仕組みや、より公平で透明性の高い価値創造・分配のメカニズムを構築する上で、極めて重要な示唆を与えます。
AIが生み出す莫大な価値が公正に分配され、AI時代のデジタル空間におけるプライバシーと個人の尊厳が守られるために、Web3の思想と技術は具体的なシステム設計や社会実装の指針を提示し得ると考えます。
本サミットでは、AIとWeb3、両分野の先駆者たちの叡智を結集し、これからの社会設計に関わる核心的なテーマについて多角的な議論を深めます。
このイベントは、2018年にスタートした日本初のNFTカンファレンス「Tokyo Blockchain Game Conference」から発展し、今回で8回目を迎えます。
現在では、AIとWeb3という革新的技術が交わる最前線において、世界中から専門家が集結し、未来の社会デザインを共に構想する国際的なハブへと成長しました。
2025年のサミットでは、一般社団法人Japan Blockchain Weekの理事であり、XinobiAI共同代表、日本ディープラーニング協会有識者会員、そしてGenerative AI Japan理事等、AI業界でも目覚ましい活躍を続ける馬渕邦美氏が、主要登壇者および議論のモデレーターとしても参画し、議論を推進します。
本イベントには、GMO AI＆ロボティクス商事が提供する、動作プログラムをカスタマイズ可能な国内初のヒト型AI搭載ロボット「G1」が、会場サポート役として登場する予定です。
さらにMCとしては、株式会社Awwが手がけるバーチャルヒューマン「MIRAI」も登場します。
