SF Climate Week: Park Cleanup with Yoga, BBQ, and Environmental Data 🌎🍻
Join us for a day of cleaning up the shores of the historic Candlestick Park, along with yoga and a post-cleanup BBQ.
As part of the cleanup, Rubbish, a San Francisco tech company, will use its AI-powered environmental data tools to conduct a survey and gather information about pollution in the area.
This hands-on experience cleans our park and helps gather valuable insights on pollution levels, directly supporting organizations like NoTraceTrails, The Moore Institute of Plastic Research, EPA, and NOAA in their environmental efforts. The data will assist companies, policymakers, and land managers in determining the most effective actions for change and monitoring critical environmental trends.
What to expect:
Meet at 10 am at Candlestick Point State Recreation Area 📍
Complimentary Yoga Session led by Leah Pilar 🧘♀️
Clean up 10:30 -12:30ish 🚮
Post-cleanup BBQ and Drinks 🍻
Litter pickers & garbage bags will be provided ✅
