Heal.LA Demo Day

​Note: Due to unforeseen circumstances, The Lundquist Institute Innovation Showcase 2022 is canceled. The HealLA Demo Day was originally scheduled to be part of that day, but we have adjusted the schedule to accommodate these changes.

​HealLA is a new collaborative initiative to improve the health & wellness of Los Angeles County and beyond. HealLA is an initiative, designed and managed by Larta Institute, which will serve as a development platform for promising bioscience & healthcare startups and aspiring entrepreneurs in underserved communities. The program will also advocate and support innovative workforce initiatives across the Los Angeles region. Via the HealLA Bioscience & Healthcare Accelerator, Larta will leverage its nationally acclaimed and award-winning virtual acceleration program.

• ​Aevum Therapeutics
  Aevum uses state-of-the-art methods to harbor the untapped potential for therapeutic discovery and development of irisin for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders.

• ​Avesta76
  Avesta76 was founded to improve the lives of cancer patients by developing a new class of cancer therapeutics targeting a cancer-essential gene and apply it towards the broad spectrum of cancer treatment.

• ​CpG Diagnostics
  CpG aims to develop OvaPrint™, a blood test that uses next-generation sequencing to measure cfDNA methylation to diagnose ovarian cancer, improving future women’s health management.

• ​Om Biome
  Om Biome develops microalgae-based therapeutics for management of side effects in oncology to deliver first-in-class botanical formulations that accelerate healing and improve patients' quality of life through regenerative personal care.

​The HealLA Demo Day is part of LABioTechWeek and will be held at BioscienceLA on Wednesday, October 12, as part of a full day of events there:
