About Event

Climate change can sometimes feel like an abstract, distant concept. 🤔

But what if we could make it personal, relatable, with something we can tell generations later?

Let's blend local knowledge, diverse perspectives, and our own emotions to co-create captivating environment folktales!

In preparation for Earth Day, join us for this Facilitation Sandbox and experiment together in a whimsical workshop, where we shall:

🪞Unveil our heartfelt reflections, sentiments and understandings about the ever-shifting climate.

🪄Summon our inner bards to conjure enthralling plots that awaken our guardianships for Gaia (or your neighborhood’s local garden 🪴).

🦄 Invoke the assistance of our AI assistants: GPT-4 & Midjourney, to refine our tales for an impact that lasts (hopefully).

Come aboard as we experiment with ways of making climate change more accessible—from distant fact to immersive fable.

About the host:

Parker Vu is always keen on learning, facilitating, and co-designing solutions with accessibility, sustainability, and wellbeing at the forefront - making everyone feel more confident in contributing to positive changes. He works as a Design Researcher & Facilitator, Founder at joyOS.

Parker's current agenda focuses on facilitating life-centered design practices, promoting plant-based diets, and supporting green jobs in Vietnam through joyOS.

The Facilitation Sandbox sessions are not about "experts" and "perfection". They are about trying new things out, pushing beyond the comfort zone, making mistakes, reflecting, and learning with peers. The Sandbox is a testing ground, an experimental arena, and a space for us to hone our facilitation skills as a community.
