About Event

Why aren’t people doing more to make the world a better place? Are they all just selfish a##holes? 🙈

Sometimes it can feel that way...

But, maybe there’s another reason people aren’t acting for the greater good.

In this experimental session, we’ll examine why — despite good intentions — people might partake in bad behavior.

Here's what we'll explore together:

💪 Flex your empathy muscles to explore complicated themes through a variety of perspectives

💛 Understand the power of empathy and empathetic communication in creating meaningful behavioral change

🚀 Gain better clarity on why your messaging or communications initiatives might not be creating the desired results

😁 Regain your faith in humanity

About the host:

Tracy Johnson is a facilitator and messaging strategist who uses empathy to help purpose and impact-driven companies craft messages of change that spark action. Her background is a combination of brand and content strategy with a healthy scoop of behavioral psychology, nonviolent communication and emotional intelligence training.
Tracy has worked in content marketing for over a decade and now focuses on helping activists, changemakers and ethical entrepreneurs harness the power of empathy and compassionate communication.

The Facilitation Sandbox sessions are not about "experts" and "perfection". They are about trying new things out, pushing beyond the comfort zone, making mistakes, reflecting, and learning with peers. The Sandbox is a testing ground, an experimental arena, and a space for us to hone our facilitation skills as a community.
