About Event

Join this info session to learn more about the Founder Fellowship, a program hosted by New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) designed to improve access to capital and networks for underrepresented founders across all tech-enabled sectors.

The 2024 Founder Fellowship will have four cohorts led by Chloe Capital, Company Ventures, Newlab, and Visible Hands. You'll hear from each cohort about their unique program offerings:

  • Chloe Capital is a movement-driven VC firm investing with a gender and diversity lens in leaders solving the world’s biggest problems across climate, education and health.

  • Company Ventures is a NYC-based, seed-stage VC firm that offers a zero equity pre-accelerator for underrepresented founders, designed to help them fundraise more successfully.

  • Newlab is a community of innovators solving the world's biggest climate and urban challenges. Fellows receive full membership access to Newlab's co-working space and prototyping labs.

  • Visible Hands is a trusted VC firm and platform for early-stage overlooked founders, on a mission to holistically support underrepresented founders in building high-growth startups.

Over 100 startups have participated in the Founder Fellowship since launching in 2022. To date, more than two thirds of Fellow teams have included at least one female founder and approximately 80 percent have been led by Black, Latinx, and/or Asian founders. The 2023 Fellow cohort collectively raised over $12 million and created at least 79 new full-time jobs during the program.

Applications for the spring 2024 cohort are currently open through December 5th. Learn more and apply here.

This session is co-hosted by NYCEDC, Chloe Capital, Company Ventures, Newlab, and Visible Hands.
