​​​Meet Akshat Jagga, CEO & Founder of Dippy AI

​Akshat Jagga is the co-founder of Wombo and founder and CEO of Dippy AI. His work exemplifies the intersection of artificial intelligence and consumer engagement, focusing on creating innovative applications that resonate with a global audience.

​While studying computer science at the University of Toronto, Jagga co-founded Wombo, a viral lip-syncing app that utilized AI to animate user selfies into singing videos. Launched in 2021, Wombo quickly became Canada's fastest-growing consumer app, amassing over 60 million users and attracting investments from notable firms, including Sound Ventures.

​In 2023, Akshat transitioned from Wombo to explore new avenues in AI applications. He co-founded Dippy AI, an open-source, mobile-first platform offering uncensored AI companions designed for empathetic and context-aware interactions. Dippy AI gained significant traction, reaching over 4 million active users by 2025 and processing more than 300 million user messages monthly.

​Under Jagga's leadership, Dippy AI secured $2.1 million in pre-seed funding from investors such as Drive Capital and Hustle Fund. The platform's success is attributed to its unique features, including anime-styled characters with persistent memory and a chain-of-thought explanation feature that enhances user engagement.

​Jagga continues to innovate in the AI space, focusing on developing decentralized, open-source large language models optimized for roleplay and emotional intelligence. His contributions are shaping the future of AI-driven companionship and interactive storytelling.
