About Event

Shalom Saints,
EL Shaddai Prayer Altar is offering weekly mandarin learning program for Saints who would like to master the mandarin language in order to understand, read, and express the Bible. This is a intermediate class and caters for all ages. We strongly encourage family members to join.

Program Description
The aim of the program is to develop an ability to use mandarin effectively for Saints' communication, worship and intercession.

The program is based on Arts in Christianity of listening, reading, speaking, singing and also writing as each one progress individually. Some insights into the culture of countries where mandarin is spoken will be shared; the exposure will broaden our attitude of acceptance.

Expectation from the program since November 1, 2021
You will develop the oral proficiency and confidence to initiate basic conversation, intercession and worship in mandarin .

The Program Coordinator Mdm Ling

She worked in Faculty of Creative Multimedia, Multimedia University since 1997 to 2017 as senior lecturer. Teaching experience at churches since 2000 till 2019, including Kajang Chinese Methodist Church.

In 2012, she organised the Arts in Education projects at ER Dickson, Mobile Alabama US and 2013 in Northfield Manor, Birmingham, UK, Tadika Sri Puncak, Country Heights and Yu Hua primary school, Kajang.

Received international awards by Korean Immersion Program at International Inje University in 2006 and UNESCO/KEIZO OBUCHI Research Fellowships Programme 2011 International Japan Funds-in-Trusts Project in 2011.

🌱 Graduated in UM (Media Study).

🌻Teaching Mandarin in public school since 2006 till now.

EL Shaddai Prayer Altar 华语班的张慧芳老师

慧芳在1996年遇见耶稣,生命重生。三年后,慧芳洗礼,开始生命的另一个里程碑。

慧芳毕业于马来亚大学的媒体研究系。她在2006年踏上教育之路,在华文小学任教至今。2015年,慧芳在马来亚大学完成了她的教育硕士学位。

在侍奉的道路上,慧芳也参与儿童事工。

Duration of the program
An hour per week.
We will not hold you to commit to the program nor will attendance be taken. Come and be bless and go with our blessing. However, whenever you come in, please ensure that the program expectations are fulfilled.

General Flow of the program (subject to change as the Holy Spirit moves)

8:00pm - Worship
9:00pm - Opening prayer and assign participants to pray. Then lesson starts
9:40pm - Changes. At times will be breakout for small session communication practices.(make it short, straight into practice and sweet) Avoid meaningless talk. Focus on Christ conversation.
9:50pm - 10:00pm - Closing prayer

Requirement from each Saint
Come with a stillness within and expect to master a new vocabulary by flowing along with the scripture of the day.

1. Bring a physical bilingual Chinese & English bible
2. Bring a notebook for taking down notes.
3. As the week goes, we will inform during the class. If you are new, please whatsapp Mdm Ling for instruction.

The program will be delivered through ZoomIn using computer.
Please attend using computer for best of sound and sharing of Tecarta and always display a respectful and attentive posture through the camera. If you are not able to open the camera, please inform Mdm Ling prior.
