Cuéntame: "Breaking Tradition" // "Rompiendo la Tradición"
Welcome to Cuéntame! We're excited to have you join us for a night of intimate storytelling at Hotel Sin Nombre in Oaxaca.
This month's theme is "Breaking Tradition." Oaxacan culture is very traditional. Tradition is what has preserved its culture for millennia. But tonight, we invite you to think of a time when you broke the rules and did things differently.
Was it a good decision that lead to something new? Or a mistake that helped you realize the wisdom of your ancestors? Craft your experience into a 5 minute story to share.
It is NOT necessary to tell a story. But if you do, please keep in mind the following rules:
1) Your story must fit the theme of the month
2) It must be TRUE and about YOU -- not somebody else
3) It should be about five minutes in length
Here are a few important pieces of information you should know:
+ Doors open at 6PM. The show starts at 7PM prompt. Please arrive on time.
+ We will have a brief intermission at 8PM and then continue until 10:00.
+ Entrance includes a free mezcal courtesy of Gem & Bolt
+ Food and drink are available for purchase
+ Doors close at 11PM

Estamos emocionados de tenerte en una noche de narración íntima en el Hotel Sin Nombre.
El tema de este mes es "Rompiendo la Tradición". La cultura oaxaqueña es muy tradicional. La tradición es lo que ha preservado su cultura durante milenios. Pero esta noche, te invitamos a pensar en un momento en el que rompiste las reglas e hiciste las cosas de manera diferente.
¿Fue una buena decisión que llevó a algo nuevo? ¿O fue un error que te ayudó a darte cuenta de la sabiduría de tus antepasados?
Convierte tu experiencia en una historia de 5 minutos para compartir.
No es necesario contar una historia. Pero si decides hacerlo, por favor considera las siguientes reglas:
Tu historia debe ajustarse al tema del mes.
Debe ser VERDADERA y sobre TI, no sobre alguien más.
Debe durar alrededor de cinco minutos.
Aquí hay algunas cosas importantes que debes saber:
Las puertas abren a las 6 PM. El espectáculo comienza puntualmente a las 7 PM. Por favor llega a tiempo.
Tendremos un breve intermedio a las 8 PM y luego continuaremos hasta las 10 PM.
