Mitigating Climate Change Through One Health
A key focus for this year’s Forum is mitigating the impact of climate change on our planet’s flora and fauna and human inhabitants. As a special spotlight, the 2023/24 Forum will highlight Wildlife Conservation in Africa: Mitigating Climate Change Through One Health and how urgent action around climate mitigation is essential for both wildlife and human well-being. Our speakers will focus on the economic and social importance of conserving wildlife ecosystems and the direct effects on reversing and mitigating climate change to ensure the sustainability of our planet.
There will be a reception following the conference.
The Annual Forum on Wildlife Conservation in Africa was launched to spark conversation among the African Diaspora community and friends of Africa about ways that they can play a more active and visible role in supporting indigenous wildlife conservation efforts. Now in its fourth year, the conference has consistently brought together experts, diplomats, activists and compassionate citizens to discuss wildlife conservation efforts in Africa through the lens of Sustainable Development Goal 15 (SDG15).
