Cuéntame Presents: Somatic Storytelling with Marko Ayling

​Improve your storytelling techniques, presentation skills, and overall confidence with this two-part public speaking masterclass from Marko Ayling, the founder of Mexico City's original storytelling open mic - Cuéntame - and the award-winning YouTube travel show, Vagabrothers.

This May, Marko will teach a two-part workshop to a small group of students to help them improve their storytelling by identifying the key moments of their story, increasing the emotional stakes, and delivering with confidence. Marko uses somatic writing practices to help you connect your words and body to craft powerful narratives that capture the attention of a crowd.

​This is a two-part workshop for all levels and the techniques practiced here will be applicable to all forms of public speaking — from business presentations to wedding speeches and overall confidence on your feet. But for regular attendees of Cuentame, you can also bring in a story specific to next month's theme.

​Students may bring in any story they want to workshop, practice performing in front of our small group, and receive direct feedback and notes from Marko. They will return for the second class with a revised draft and emerge with a polished story that is ready to perform live at Cuéntame on June 2nd - or anywhere else they chose.

​Space is limited. This is a pilot course so there is a discount for signing up for the first edition of this program. The cost of this course will increase in future iterations.
