We'll start with a brief interview of Christina Shim to hear how she and IBM are looking at the future of sustainability and the part technology plays, as IBM develops global solutions and invests in the future. About Christina Shim
Christina Shim is the Chief Sustainability Officer for IBM and serves on IBM’s AI Ethics Board and the ESG Executive Steering Committee. She has been at the intersection of business, technology, and impact for almost 20 years.
Prior to IBM, Christina was Managing Director for Palladium International, a global impact firm, and was a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, Bain & Co, and PricewaterhouseCoopers – in New York, London, Singapore, and Washington DC. She also previously worked at the Central Intelligence Agency.
Christina serves as an Independent Director for 1-800-Flowers.com (NASDAQ), and has served on the Board or as an Advisor to VC funds & accelerators, fintech and climate tech startups, non-profits, and to Princeton and Columbia University around sustainability and responsible investing. She was most recently recognized as one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Next Gen on climate change.
